There are three current and often quoted urban legends that started spreading in late 1980s of an ending to the Doraemon series.
The first and the more optimistic ending was made public by Nobuo Sato several years ago. Doraemon's battery power ran out, and Nobita was given a choice between replacing the battery inside a frozen Doraemon, which would cause it to reset and lose all memory, or await a competent robotics technician who would be able to resurrect the cat-robot one day. Nobita swore that very day to work hard in school, graduate with honours, and become that robotics technician. He successfully resurrected Doraemon in the future as a robotics professor, became successful as an AI developer, and thus lived happily ever after, thus relieving his progeny of the financial burdens that caused Doraemon to be sent to his space-time in the first place.

Hold on... The story is just like the Terminator series. Nobita created doraemon and then send him back to the past to help himself in the past isn't it?
No kat, since he restored doraemon he created it. Remember in doraemon is born episode he was sent by nobita's great great grandson?
during the end,while nobita on the switch shizuka and nobita both are adults.but in the next scene they become kids?why?

nobita turnsinto a kid becoz when he is in the room time changes it turns nobita sizuka and doraemon to young again hence doraemon will recover.....i am very sad at the ending ....i hope doraemon will be on earth...doraemon i love you !
Good ending
This story has touched my heart.
Although this is a beautiful ending, the comic artist who drew this around 2005 was a professional manga artist who ultimately sold this "ending" as well as other numerous fake, unofficial copies of Doraemon mangas to the public. He later apologized after having sold over 15000 copies (each costing over 500 yen).
